Many rendering and compatibility issues users have been experiencing should now be addressed. This means greatly improved website compatibility, speed and stability. OmniWeb 5.5 is now based off a slightly customized version of WebKit. Said fans will be excited to know the Omni Group has just released the public beta of OmniWeb 5.5. To quote one of my esteemed colleagues, Charles Jade, Omni Group is "the 3rd party developer that probably embodies the 'Mac Way' of form and function more than any other producer of Mac software-including Apple Computer." Whoa! For many OmniFans, the must-have app is their web browser, OmniWeb. Omniweb has a long way to go before it can live up to its developers’ claims to any sort of useful or meaningful CSS and DOM support.I'll admit that I'm not really much of an Omni Group acolyte (though OmniDazzle was pretty fun) but their products have a huge following in the Mac community.
